St. Columbkille & Holy Name Parishes

Holy Name Parish began in 1921, the second parish in the city of Pembroke, as St. John the Baptist Parish and was a bilingual parish with Father T. J. Sloan as its first pastor. In 1941, a separate French parish was erected and was dedicated to St-Jean-Baptiste. At this time, the name changed to the Most Holy Name of Jesus.
