Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish

In 1921, a second parish was erected for the city of Pembroke. It was known as St. John the Baptist (St-Jean-Baptiste) and served the French speaking population of the west end of Pembroke as well as the English. In 1941, a separate church building was erected and dedicated to St-Jean-Baptiste for the Francophones of Pembroke. Therefore, the name was changed to the Most Holy Name of Jesus and continues to this day.
